Stainiger leads way for Sioux in South Dakota dual

VERMILLION, S.D.--Junior Adam Stainiger led all Sioux runners with a time of 26:21.99 today in a dual at South Dakota, the final meet of the season for the Fighting Sioux cross country team.

A native of Chisholm, Minn., Stainiger placed fourth among 16 runners.

UND finished with 38 team points, compared to 19 by the host Coyotes.

South Dakota's Travis Brenner earned medalist honors with a time of 26:02.57.

UND's James Dean and Tyler Rose also cracked the top half of runners. Dean placed sixth in 26:44.65 and Rose placed seventh in 26:47.25.
