UND women fourth through two days at TYR Invite

EVANSTON, Ill.- North Dakota remains in fourth place of six teams at the TYR Invitational hosted by Northwestern University. Illinois continues to stand atop the women's standings through two of three scheduled days of events.

Veronica Medon was the runner-up in the 100 backstroke with a 55.94 time. She also took fifth in the championship final of the 100 butterfly, etching a 56.93 time.  Ali Church placed eighth in the 200 freestyle championship final, finishing in 1:54.25. Alexa Weyer qualified for the finals in the 100 breaststroke, taking eighth in 1:06.46.

The 800 free relay took fifth (7:45.18) while the 200 medley relay (1:46.91) was seventh for North Dakota.

The meet concludes Sunday beginning with finals starting at 3:00 p.m. Central.
