MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.-- In the final tuneup before the Western Athletic Conference championships, a handful of North Dakota swimmers headed to the Minnesota Challenge Friday and Saturday. Patricia Tedjasukmana charted five top six finishes, including a pair of wins.

Tedjakmana won the 200 IM with a 2:15.99 time. She was also the 200 backstroke champion at 2:13.63 with Kate Fitzgerald finishing sixth in 2:18.60. Tedjasukmana also took fourth in the 100 free (54.55), fifth in the 100 backstroke in 1:00.87 and sixth in the 50 freestyle, touching in 25.19. Kasey Bosch was third in the 200 breaststroke with a 2:33.05 time. She also finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:10.46 clocking. Fitzgerald was eighth in the event (1:12.83).

MacIan Campbell was sixth in the 500 freestyle with a 4:48.98. DeForrest Benson was 10th with a 4:58.00 time. Benson later took fifth in the 200 free, finishing in 1:42.80.

North Dakota next competes at the WAC Championships, set for Feb. 26 through March 1 in San Antonio, Texas.
