GRAND FORKS, N.D. - With clear skies and temperatures hitting the 70s, it was a perfect day for football at Memorial Stadium. The University of North Dakota participated in its fourth spring practice, capping the first week of drills that culminates in the April 21 spring game.

However, there's not much of a weekend for UND. The team is back to work on Monday.

Saturday's practice featured the first time UND went "live" with full contact. The team was obviously excited to finally get a chance to hit and tackle. When head coach Chris Mussman announced the final team session would be live, there were many hoots and cheers from both offense and defense.

Each side had bright spots during the session. After an interception by Dayo Idowu, running back Jer Garman returned the favor with a big play up the right side.
