HOUSTON, Texas-- Junior Richard Eberle advanced to the finals and took 13th place in the men's 3-meter springboard event at the NCAA Zone D meet contested Tuesday.  Eberle scored 309.20 in the preliminaries to advance to the finals where he improved three spots.

"Wow, Rick had an great day not a good day, great day!" UND diving coach Brian Strom said. "He just missed his record on last list in this meet.  Now we look forward to a strong platform Wednesday to finish."

Eberle was 17th after the preliminary round with his 309.20 score. He advanced to the finals where he scored  in that round to finish 13th overall.

Eberle's 342.00 score in the finals added to his prelim score and bumped him four spots in the final rankings.
