GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs have earned national honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for high academic achievement during the Spring 2014 semester.

Both teams, which were also similarly recognized following the fall semester, received CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Awards today for boasting a spring semester grade-point average of 3.0 or better. UND’s women’s team owned a 3.43 GPA to tie for 43rd among all Division I women’s programs. The men’s team had a 3.14 GPA, which was tied for 44th nationally among men’s programs.

The Scholar All-America Team Award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and again in the spring to recognize teams achieving a 3.0 in the semester coinciding with the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

The College Swimming Coaches Association is the oldest coaches organization in America.  In addition to Scholar All-America Awards, the CSCAA recognizes All-American swimmers and divers at the national championships every year.

Full lists for each division can be found at www.cscaa.org.
