GRAND FORKS, N.D. – For the third consecutive year, the University of North Dakota women's golf team has been honored by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) with a Public Recognition Award for its most recent multi-year Academic Progress Rate (APR).

Each year, the NCAA tracks the classroom performance of student-athletes on every Division I team through the annual scorecard of academic achievement, known as APR. The Public Recognition Awards are given each year to teams with APRs in the top 10 percent in each sport.

“This team has earned the recognition three years in a row, which means that the student-athletes in our women’s golf program, as well head coach Natalie Martinson, are truly dedicated to academic performance." said Amanda Hajdu, UND Athletics' Director of Academic Services. “They continue to excel in the classroom and this is a great way to be recognized for those efforts.”

The women’s golf team will open its spring season at The Lumberjack at Ocatillo hosted by Northern Arizona on Feb. 11-13.
