Sioux Falls, S.D. - The North Dakota women's golf team saved its best round for last and moved up two spots in the team standings during final-round play to take fourth at the Jackrabbit Fall Invitational on Tuesday. The foursome of Sadie Martin, Dani DelGreco, Amanda Fairweather and Emma Kishel all played their best 18 holes of the tournament in the final round as UND overtook Drake and South Dakota.

Martin carded a 75 (+4), which was the low round of the tournament for a UND golfer, and DelGreco, who made a pivotal birdie on her 53rd hole, shot a 77 (+6) to lead the Green and White during Tuesday's round at the Minnehaha Country Club.

"I have been challenging our team to finish strong and I thought we finally did that today," UND head coach Natalie Martinson said. "Yesterday, was an up-and-down day and didn't end well, but I thought the girls responded well down the stretch.

"And, to have four players all shoot their low rounds of the tournament in their final 18 holes is impressive and something we can build on."

For Martin, her seventh-place finish marked her third top-10 showing of the season, while DelGreco tied for 11th with Augustana's Allie Ostrander.

South Dakota State held on to win the team title as the host Jackrabbits shot a 315 on the final day to beat North Dakota State by 11 strokes. UND moved past both Drake and South Dakota in the team standings thanks to a 314 (+30) on Tuesday, easily the team's best effort of the 54-hole tournament.

Junior Amanda Fairweather and sophomore Emma Kishel both shot an 81, which was seven strokes better than their respective round-two scores.

UND has one more tournament remaining in the fall and that will be played Oct. 5-7 in Daytona Beach, Fla., at the Xavier LPGA Invitational.
