HOUSTON -- The North Dakota women's golf team played 36 holes on Monday as 13 teams opened play at the 2014 Houston Baptist Husky Invitational. Sophomore Sadie Martin led UND with a two-round total of 164 (+20), improving her first round score by 10 strokes in her closing 18 holes.

Freshman Alexis Guggisberg was only a stroke off of Martins' pace and was consistent her in two rounds closing with an 82 (+10) after opening with an 83 (+11).

There is a three-way top on the team standings after Louisiana-Monroe, Lamar and Central Arkansas all turned in 36-hole scores of 619 (+43). Host Houston Baptist is six shots back in fourth.

UND improved from round one to round two by shooting a 336 after opening with a 340. The Green and White will wrap up the HBU Husky Invitational with third-round play on Tuesday.
