Daytona Beach, Fla. - The North Dakota women's golf team played at the home of the Ladies Professional Golf Association on Friday and the Par-72, 6,178-yard layout proved to be a daunting one for the Green and White. Sophomore Amanda Fairweather (Maple Valley, Wash.) turned in the top score of the day for UND with an 83 (+11) and is tied for 44th overall.

The top of the field is tightly bunched as Florida Gulf Coast (310, +22) leads host Xavier (311, +23) by a stroke. The top eight teams in the 14-team field are only separated by eight strokes.

The only familiar foe in the field for UND is southern neighbor South Dakota State. The Jackrabbits are in 12th (341, +53), while UND is in 14th (355, +67).

Senior captain Robin Hutchinson was three strokes off the pace set by Fairweather after carding an 86 (+14). Hutchinson is tied for 58th.
