ABOUT OSU: After sprinting out of the gates winning its first five games and going 14-5-1 in its first 20, OSU has struggled to find wins since Christmas going 2-7-1.

Head coach Nate Handrahan is in his second season at the helm of the Buckeyes where he has led them to a 32-28-6 record.

A squad that succeeds around its depth has 11 players with double-digit points and four with more than 10 goals. Senior Paige Semenza, sophomore Taylor Kuehl and freshman Julia McKinnon are all tied for the team lead with 12 goals each.

Junior Chelsea Knapp has started all but one game in net and has collected a 2.45 goals against average and a .914 save percentage.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES: OSU leads the all-time series 18-13-3 with each team going 7-7-2 in Grand Forks.

North Dakota has gone 7-2-1 against OSU in its last 10 games.

LAST ACTION: North Dakota completed the four-game series sweep over Bemidji State winning a pair of contests this past weekend in Grand Forks.

After jumping out to a quick start with two power-play goals in the first seven minutes of the game, but needed extra-time to claim a 4-3 overtime win in the opener. Senior Allison Parizek scored arguably the biggest goal of her collegiate career at 3:58 of the extra stanza to secure th e win.

UND shellacked the Beavers 7-0 in the finale. Monique Lamoureux led the team with two goals while Becca Kohler, Megan Gilbert, Meghan Dufualt, Michelle Karvinen and Layla Marvin added one goal each.

A RECORD-BREAKING NIGHT: Senior Jocelyne Lamoureux collected a career-best six assists and set the all-time WCHA record for career points in UND's 7-0 blanking of Bemidji State.
Jocelyne Lamoureux entered the game two-points shy of Wisconsin's Hillary Knight's (2008-12) previous record and she broke it in remarkable fashion with a six-assist game (one shy of the NCAA single-game record).

SWEEP TO MATCH: If North Dakota can sweep Ohio State this weekend it will match its program record in wins set last season when UND concluded the year 22-12-3.

With a win on Friday, UND would also match its program record seven-game winning streak set earlier this season.

EXTRA SPECIAL TEAMS: Since Christmas break, UND has converted 40.8 percent of its power plays (20-for-48) and 90.6 percent of its penalty-kills (58-for-64). UND has not allowed a power-play goal in the opponents last 14 chances.

SECONDARY SCORING: In its current six-game winning streak, UND has had 12 players score at least one goal.

FINDING HER WAY: Freshman Shelby Amsley-Benzie collect her third shutout in her last eight games during which time she has a 1.37 goals against average and a .942 save percentage.

CARVING UP THE DEFENSE: In her second season, Michelle Karvinen is only one point shy of reaching the century mark. She currently has 36 goals and 63 assists in only 54 games played.

SETTING THE PACE: UND has gotten off to quick starts in a majority of its games this season having scored the game's first goal in 21 of its 30 contests.

BRIGHT FUTURE: North Dakota recruits had strong showings at the 2013 U18 World Championship as Canadian Halli Krzyzaniak was voted the tournament's best defensive player and was tied for the lead in points by a defenseman (2-5-7) while winning a gold medal. Gracen Hirschy was eighth in points by a defenseman (0-3-3), Amy Menke finished third in scoring (4-5-9) and Lexi Shaw went 2-0-0 with two shutouts helping the United States to a silver medal.

POLL POSITION: UND is ranked No. 7 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll and No. 8 in the USCHO.com Poll.
