2011-12 (Freshman): Received UND's Tom Hoghaug Memorial Scholarship as the freshman who "demonstrates initiative, character and a sense of responsibility" ... Had 19 points in 42 games to rank second among UND defensemen ... Tied for third among all WCHA freshman defensemen in scoring ... Was a +2 and had one assist at the WCHA Final Five ... Led UND defensemen with six goals ... Scored his first career short-handed goal in a 4-4 tie with Harvard (Dec. 30) ... Enjoyed his first career 2-goal performance in that game ... Collected his first collegiate goal (PPG) and assist in a 3-3 tie with No. 17 Maine (Oct. 15) ... Had five multi-point games ... Recipient of the Lynn and Shirlee Leininger Impact Scholarship ... Earned his first letter.

Before UND: Selected by Chicago in the sixth round (180th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft ... Spent the previous two seasons with the Indiana Ice of the United States Hockey League (USHL) ...
