GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- With the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) playoffs set to begin this week, North Dakota will enter the league tournament ranked No. 4 in both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls released today.

UND (19-10-7), the three-time defending Broadmoor Trophy champions, climbed one spot for the third straight week after a road split at Minnesota State to close out the regular season. UND defeated the Mavericks 4-3 on Friday before dropping a 2-1 overtime decision on Saturday.

Quinnipiac, Minnesota and Miami held on to the top three spots in each poll.

UND will host unranked Michigan Tech March 15-17 in the first round of the WCHA Playoffs. Friday's game will begin at 7:37 p.m. Central, with the puck scheduled to drop at 7:07 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday (if necessary).
