GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota has earned the No. 2 seed for the 2013 NCAA West Regional in Grand Rapids, Mich., and will face No. 3 seed and Atlantic Hockey regular season champion Niagara on Friday, March 29, in the regional semifinal.

The game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Central and will air live on ESPNU. The other West Region semifinal will feature No. 1 seed Minnesota against No. 4 seed Yale. The winner of the two semifinals will meet in the West Region championship on Saturday, March 30, at 3 p.m. Central.

It is North Dakota’s 11th consecutive appearance in the NCAA postseason, the longest active streak in the nation, and the 28th overall NCAA postseason appearance in program history.

UND is seeking its eighth NCAA men's hockey championship. UND's seven national titles are second in the nation behind only Michigan's nine.

UND earned an at-large bid into the national tournament after going 21-12-7 during the regular season, the program’s ninth 20-win season in as many years under head coach Dave Hakstol.
