UND climbs another spot in USCHO poll

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- A critical NCHC series split at Denver last weekend enabled North Dakota to improve one spot to No. 17 in this week's USCHO.com Division I men's hockey poll.

UND remained unranked in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.

UND defeated the Pioneers, then ranked 16th, 4-2 on Friday to extend its unbeaten streak to 10 games. DU salavaged the split the following night with a 3-0 victory.

Minnesota remained the nation's top-ranked team in both polls.

UND is idle this week before returning to action with back-to-back home series against Nebraska Omaha (Feb. 7-8) and Miami (Feb. 14-15).
