GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Despite being idle last weekend, North Dakota continued to gain ground in the USCHO.com Division I Men’s Hockey Poll.

UND improved one spot and was ranked No. 16 in the latest rankings released on Monday. UND remained unranked in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll, but did garner 25 votes as the second team just outside of the top 15.

Minnesota remained the top-ranked team in both polls, with Boston College ranked second in both.

UND returns to action this week with a critical NCHC series against unranked Nebraska Omaha. Both teams enter the week tied with Denver for second place in the league standings, two points behind league-leading St. Cloud State and one point ahead of fifth-place Minnesota Duluth.
