Olson, Fenstermacher shine at Beach Invitational

NORWALK, Calif. – Standout performances by freshman Zach Olson and junior Jesse Fenstermacher on Saturday at the Beach Invitational closed out North Dakota’s successful three-meet trip to California.

Olson, a native of Owatonna, Minn., achieved a personal record and Big Sky Conference automatic qualifier in the discus, recording a mark of 47.80 meters (156’10”).

Fenstermacher, meanwhile, clocked a time of 47.91 seconds in the 400-meters, giving the Hibbing, Minn., native, the fifth-best time in the Big Sky this season.
