GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Four student-athletes from the University of North Dakota men's and women's swimming and diving teams were named 2014 Individual Scholar All-Americans by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) and supported by Nike Swim.

Men's swimmer Ian Ballantyne, men's divers Richard Eberle and Michael Golling, along with women's diver Rachael Waldbillig earned Honorable Mention Scholar All-America honors by the CSCAA.

Ballantyne turned in an All-WAC Second Team performance in the 100m breast at the Western Athletic Conference championships in February. Eberle earned All-WAC First Team honors in both the 3-meter and 1-meter diving events, while turning in a second-team effort on the platform. Eberle also earned a league-best four Male Diver of the Week awards. Golling earned All-WAC Second-Team honors in both 3-meter and 1-meter diving. Waldbillig was named Female Diver of the Week during the 2013-14 season and competed alongside Ballantyne, Eberle and Golling at the 2014 NCAA Zone meet in Minneapolis.

The Honorable Mention Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimmers and divers who have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for the semester, or cumulative average, and have achieved a "B" time standard, but did not qualify or compete in their respective national championship. Divers qualify by competing at their respective championship qualifying meets, zones or NCAA preliminary rounds.

Both the men's and women's teams were awarded CSCAA Scholar All-America Team awards for both the 2014 spring and 2013 fall semesters.

Full lists for each division may be found on our home page at www.cscaa.org.
