Tryouts for cheer and dance teams this weekend

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota Department of Athletics will conduct tryouts for the 2013-14 cheer and dance teams from April 12-14 at the Hyslop Sports Center on the campus of UND.

The tryouts will take place in Gym 1 (second floor, accessible through north entrance) of the Hyslop Sports Center and are scheduled for the following days and times:

  • Friday, April 12:         4 pm. to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 13:    9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 14:       9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

A $20 registration fee is required and all attendees must complete a cheer or dance application form, a liability waiver and a physical activity release (for non-returning cheerleaders and dancers). 

Attendees are also required to wear appropriate, form-fitting workout clothing, as well as proper cheer/dance footwear, and are encouraged to bring their own water and snacks. A lunch on Saturday will be available for purchase.

Tryouts for the hockey cheer team will be held in August at a date to be determined.
