The North Dakota baseball team plays its home games at Kraft Field, a facility owned and operated by the Grand Forks Park District that includes bleacher seating for 2,000 in a picturesque setting with evergreens lining the outfield fences.
FieldTurf was installed in 2011 throughout the infiled, including pitcher's mound and batter's box, extending into foul territory all the way to the backstop behind home plate. The turf provides the team the opportunity to practice and host games earlier in the season without tearing up the field.
A secondary bleacher lines right field next to the main grandstand, and a deck area, where fans and students gather before, during and after to watch and celebrate the baseball team, is down the third base line.
Full bullpen areas for each team are available next to each team's covered dugout, and a batting cage is locating in right field.
The press box is located directly behind home plate at Kraft Field. The press box has room for press seating and media broadcast areas. A full concession stand is available with restrooms under the main grandstand. A children's playground is also next door.
The facility is named after longtime UND coach Harold "Pinky" Kraft, who restarted the university's baseball program in 1956. Kraft Field hosted the Great West Conference championship in 2011 and the North Central Conference Championships in 1992 and 2004.
