CHANDLER, Ariz. - The North Dakota women's golf team remained in 10th place after day two of the Lumberjack at Ocotillo, sticking with a trend that saw only two teams change position in the 11-team field on Tuesday.

Only Montana State and Eastern Washington switched positions as the Bobcats shaved 20 strokes off their first-round score to move into seventh. The top six teams all remained the same as McNeese State (611, +35) grew its lead to 20 strokes on host Northern Arizona (631, +55).

Freshman Abbie Mozzetti turned in the best round of the day for UND, carding an 85 (+13), which was a five-shot improvement from her opening round. Mozzetti's efforts allowed UND to improve its second-round score by three shots to a 356. The Green and White's 36-hole total is 715 (+139) and the squad is 25 shots clear of Idaho State (740, +164).

The conditions at the Ocotillo Country Club were improved from Monday's opening as eight Big Sky teams are getting a preview of the course that will host the league championship in April.

Senior Robin Hutchinson is only two strokes behind Mozzetti, who has a two-day total of 175 (+31). Hutchinson followed her opening-round 87 with a 90 in round two. Classmate Shantel Montgomery took one stroke off her first-round score to post a 90 (+18) on Tuesday, while sophomore Amanda Fairweather carded her second consecutive 91.

UND will conclude the three-day, 54-hole event with Wednesday's final round.
