THIS WEEK: North Dakota heads back on the road for its final regular-season series of 2012-13. UND will be looking for the regular-season sweep of Minnesota Duluth with a pair of wins on Friday (7:07 p.m.) and Saturday (6:07 p.m.).

TUNE IN: This weekend's games will be broadcasted on The Fan 1440 AM (Friday and Saturday) with broadcaster Darrin Looker calling the action. Audio webcasts will also be available through

A live blog will be open for fans during the game at or you can get live updates by following UNDWHockey through twitter.

ABOUT UMD: Minnesota Duluth has never had to go on the road for the first round of the WCHA Playoffs, but could see that scenario play out if UND can achieve its goals with a couple wins this weekend. The Bullddogs are currently in fourth in the standings, but lead Ohio State by just three points. UMD owns the tiebreaker between the two teams attempting to capture the final first round home playoff spot.

After going on a 10-game unbeaten streak (8-0-2) from Dec. 1-Jan. 26, Minnesota Duluth is currently on a six-game stretch where it has gone 1-5-0.

Freshman Kayla Black has started 28 games in net garnering a 13-13-3 record, 2.29 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.

Sophomore Jenna McParland leads the squad in points (26) and goals (11) while senior Jessica Wong and sophomore Zoe Hickel each have more than 20 points.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES: UMD leads the all-time series 35-7-1 and 20-3-1 in Duluth, Minn.

North Dakota has gone 5-4-1 against the Bulldogs in its last 10 games.

LAST ACTION: North Dakota completed a two-game series sweep of Ohio State at the Ralph Englestad Arena by 5-2 and 3-2 scores to finish the season 3-1 against the Buckeyes.

UND had 11 different players reach the score sheet in the win on Friday. Michelle Karvinen gave UND an early 1-0 lead, but the Buckeyes answered back with the game's next two goals. It was the first time UND had trailed in a game since losing 2-1 versus Wisconsin on Jan. 19. It was all North Dakota after that point as it closed out the game with four unanswered goals. Afer getting edged in shots during the first period, UND out shot the Buckeyes 34-11 in the final two periods including 23-6 in the second stanza.

UND celebrated its senior day with a 3-2 triumph in the series finale and looked like it might ease its way to another win after 20 minutes of play, opening a 2-0 lead, but OSU was able to pull within a 3-2 score entering the second intermission. The third period went scoreless as UND limited the Buckeyes to three shots on goal and without a shot through the first 14-minutes. Meghan Dufualt had a game-high two goals.

SET TO ECLIPSE: North Dakota (22-10) has matched the program's record for wins in a season set last year when the team went 22-13-3. UND is gauranteed four more games this year to surpass that mark.

TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS: North Dakota is now on a program record eight-game winning streak.

LOOKING FOR IMPROVEMENT: UND's 17 wins within the conference is its most ever and is looking to conclude the regular season with its best finish within the league standings for the third consecutive year. UND clinched home ice for the first time ever in program history in 2010-11 with a fourth-place finish and concluded the year in third last year. It currently leads Wisconsin by two points heading into the final weekend.

A RECORD-BREAKING NIGHT: Senior Jocelyne Lamoureux collected a career-best six assists and set the all-time WCHA record for career points in UND's 7-0 blanking of Bemidji State.
Jocelyne Lamoureux entered the game two-points shy of Wisconsin's Hillary Knight's (2008-12) previous record and she broke it in remarkable fashion with a six-assist game (one shy of the NCAA single-game record).

SENIOR NIGHT: UND honored its eight seniors after Saturday's game against Ohio State who played in their last regular-season home games at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Jorid Dagfinrud, Ashley Furia, Megan Gilbert, Jocelyne Lamoureux, Monique Lamoureux, Mary Loken, Allison Parizek and Jordan Slavin.

SECONDARY SCORING: In its current eight-game winning streak, UND has had 12 players score at least one goal.

FINDING HER WAY: Freshman Shelby Amsley-Benzie is on a eight-game winning streak, both program and career bests, during which time she has 1.61 goals against average and a .927 save percentage. She has 15 wins on the season which is one shy of the program record.

CARVING UP THE DEFENSE: In her second season, Michelle Karvinen reached the century mark in only 55 games. She currently has 38 goals and 63 assists.

EARNING ANOTHER CHANCE: UND is looking to advance to the Final Face-Off and have the possibility of earning games against Wisconsin and Minnesota. North Dakota has not lost to any team besides these teams since Nov. 2 versus Clarkson. UND is 21-3-0 when excluding its games against UM and UW.

SETTING THE PACE: UND has gotten off to quick starts in a majority of its games this season having scored the game's first goal in 23 of its 32 contests.

BRIGHT FUTURE: North Dakota recruits had strong showings at the 2013 U18 World Championship as Canadian Halli Krzyzaniak was voted the tournament's best defensive player and was tied for the lead in points by a defenseman (2-5-7) while winning a gold medal. Gracen Hirschy was eighth in points by a defenseman (0-3-3), Amy Menke finished third in scoring (4-5-9) and Lexi Shaw went 2-0-0 with two shutouts helping the United States to a silver medal.

POLL POSITION: UND is ranked No. 7 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll and No. 8 in the Poll.
