10:47 a.m. -- Greetings one last time from the WCHA Final Five in Saint Paul!

The team left Grand Forks after practice on Tuesday night. I drove down on Wednesday with co-workers Mitch Wigness and Erik Martinson (aka @StatsOnCrack). Matt Schill and the AV Club are en route as I type this.

The team practice at the Xcel Energy Center for about 45 minutes late yesterday afternoon. Morning ice is not available to the team, so the players came over to the arena to get in some stretching and light working out.

My first stop last night after dinner was, of course, the WCHA hospitality suite. It was great to catch up with our terrific host, Cathy St. Martin, along with the likes of Dave Moross (Colorado College SID), Ken Landau (CC radio announcer), Dallas Baldwin (Alaska Anchorage SID), and every North Dakota fan's favorite writer, Jess Myers.

*I can confirm that Jess said nothing negative toward any of you during the hour or so I spent with him. I have no knowledge of anything he said before or after that time, however.

Today it's back to work. After this blog, I'll get to work on a press release just so we can be prepared in the event we get good news with tonight's Hobey Baker Award Top 10 announcement.

Remember to check this blog throughout the weekend from Matt Schill and myself.
