All-WAC Academic Team Announced

DENVER -- The University of North Dakota placed 13 student-athletes on the 2012-13 academic all-WAC team announced today by league officials. A total of 346 winter student-athletes were named to the list in the following sports: men and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s indoor track and field, women’s swimming and diving and gymnastics. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s contests.

North Dakota's 13 honorees from the women's swimming and diving team ranked second among the nine WAC teams receiving accolades (Northern Arizona- 17). UND's group includes two seniors, seven juniors and four sophomores.
