GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota Athletics Department and U.S. Bank are proud to announce the launch of a new program called U.S. Bank Jr. Champions in the Community. This new program is designed to recognize Jr. Champions who are making a positive impact in their local communities through volunteer and community service hours.

Jr. Champions is the official kids club of UND Athletics.

“U.S. Bank is proud to sponsor Jr. Champions in the Community because we want to salute the Jr. Champions who are making a difference, just like we try to do every day,” said U.S. Bank Regional President John Snustad.

Community service can include anything from raking leaves for neighbors to volunteering at school or a local non-profit. Parents can nominate their child to be a U.S. Bank Jr. Champion in the Community by visiting and completing the online form.

Each child who is selected as a Jr. Champion in the Community will be featured on the video board during a UND men’s hockey game at Ralph Engelstad Arena.

In order to be selected, the child must be a member of the U.S. Bank and Midco Sports Network Jr. Champions. Jr. Champions is completely FREE to join and membership is open to children ages 2 or older who are in eighth grade or under. Kids can register in person for Jr. Champions at any U.S. Bank location in North Dakota or the Red River Valley during normal business hours.
