Cross country teams get back at it at MSU meet

BOZEMAN, Mont. -- Following a week off, the University of North Dakota cross country teams returned to action on Saturday at Montana State, competing in the 41st annual MSU-Bozeman Running Company Invitational at Bridger Creek Golf Course.

Senior Scott Kvidera was North Dakota's top finisher in either of the 5-mile races, posting a 14th-place finish with a time of 26 minutes, 36.61 seconds. Classmate Cataldo DiDonna was not far off that pace, finishing 14th with a time of 26:42.43. 

After a third-place finish at North Dakota State two weeks ago, sophomore Hannah Oscarson once again set the pace for the women's team, clocking a time of 18 minutes, 32.28 seconds and finishing 26th overall. 

Finishing second for North Dakota was freshman Ellyssa Peterson with a time of 18:58.97. 

The Fighting Hawks will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 29 at the South Dakota State Classic.
