HOUSTON, Texas-- Both North Dakota swimming and diving teams sit in fifth place through three days at the Western Athletic Conference Championships. As in the past two days, UND saw several school records fall by the wayside during Friday's action.

Katie Breault picked up an NCAA B-cut in a runner-up finish in the 400 IM, smashing a 15-year-old school record in the process (4:18.13). Breault later tied with teammate Marlena Pigliacampi for second place in the 100 butterfly, setting a new school mark with a 54.38 standard. Steph Frey went 1:01.63 in the 100 breaststroke, for a new personal record and an NCAA B-standard, good for second place. Jessica Warfield was fourth in the 100 backstroke with her 55.93 time. It marked UND's third relay win of the meet.

Jacob Wielinski just missed breaking his own school mark in the 400 IM, grabbing fourth place and a B-cut (3:52.40). Noah Lucas finished fifth in the 100 fly with a 47.92 clocking and another NCAA B standard.

Saturday is the final day in the four-day meet. The events on the final day include: 200 backstroke, 100 and 1650 free, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, the men's platform diving and the 400 free relay.
