GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The North Dakota football team churned out 204 first downs throughout the 2017 season and in doing so, raised $2,040 for the local Community Violence Intervention Center. Head coach Bubba Schweigert and leaders from First International Bank & Trust, the program's year-long sponsor, delivered those funds via a check on Tuesday to the CVIC's executive director Kristi Hall-Jiran.

"UND football is proud to be associated with the CVIC, which is an organization that benefits our community by helping those in need," Schweigert said. "We are also appreciative of the partnership with First International Bank & Trust to create a program like this to help out our community and region. We look forward to continuing this relationship in future years."

The CVIC works every day to make Greater Grand Forks the best Midwest community in which to live, learn, work and play.

Since humble beginnings in 1910, First International Bank & Trust has been delivering on their mission of helping dreams come true, one customer at a time. Today, four generations strong, the Stenehjem family continues to lead the bank with a focus on long-term customer relationships and delivers one-stop-shop banking solutions in true community bank fashion.
