Sedona, Ariz. — North Dakota junior Jenna Janu tied for 23rd at the Red Rocks Invitational finishing the 54-hole event with a 235 total (+19). Janu was the lone Fighting Hawk to post a score in the 70's as she carded a final round 78 (+6) to lead the team for the third-consecutive round.
College of Charleston claimed the team title, moving up to the top spot thanks to a final round 302 (+14). The Buccaneers defeated Portland State by six strokes despite the Vikings posting the low score of the day with a 299 (+11).
UND remained in 15th place in the 18-team field after registering a 337 (+49). Sophomore Ashlyn Guggisberg had the team's second best score with an 84 (+12). She backed up a pair of 82's from Saturday's opening 36 holes to finish with a 248 total (+32).
Host Northern Arizona's Sofia Anokhina took medalist honors with a 220 (+4). The Lumberjacks held the team lead after 36 holes, but fell to fourth place (922; +58).
The Fighting Hawks return to action April 9-10 at the Bobcat Invitational.
