Boulder City, Nev. -- Sophomore Jenna Janu turned in the Fighting Hawks' top score for the second-consecutive day at the Big Sky Championship as conditions in southern Nevada were much kinder to the 12-team field.

Janu carded a 77, which included 14 pars and a birdie at the Boulder Creek Golf Club. One of those pars came on the 18th hole, but the 380-yard layout proved to be a menace to the rest of the North Dakota women's golf team. who combined to go 14-over on it.

Janu is tied for 28th through 36 holes with a 160 total (+16) to pace UND, who remained in 11th after posting a 325 (+37) as a team.

"We had a better day and got off to a much faster start, but I was disappointed with how we finished," UND head coach Natalie Martinson said. "We proved to ourselves that we can play well on this course and it will be important for us to put together a much more consistent finish tomorrow."
