Boulder City, Nev. -- The North Dakota women's golf team concluded its season at the 2017 Big Sky Championship by posting its best team score of the spring season. The Fighting Hawks carded a 311 (+23) on their final loop around the Boulder Creek Golf Club and were led for the third-straight day by sophomore Jenna Janu.

Janu turned in her best round of the tournament with a 73 (+1) to match her finish from a season ago at the Big Sky Championship when she carded a 223 (+6) to set UND's Division I scoring record for 54 holes. Janu made three birdies to help shoot her low round of the spring season.

Janu finished at 233 (+16) this time as UND placed 11th in the 12-team field with a 974 (+110) total. Senior captains Alexis Guggisberg and Dani DelGreco both wrapped up their respective collegiate careers on Sunday as well.

"Those two have meant a lot to this program and I appreciate their leadership not only this season, but all they have done for this team," UND head coach Natalie Martinson said. "They will be missed."

Guggsiberg bettered her score each day of the tournament, finishing with a 78 (+6) that featured a trio of birdies. She tied for 37th with a 242 (+25) total. DelGreco posted an 83 (+11) in her final collegiate round and had two birdies on a pair of the par-fives.

Junior Haily Abel and sophomore Hanna Peterson also had their best scores of the tournament in the final round. Abel made her final loop in 79 (+7), while Peterson carded an 81 (+9).

Sacramento State captured the team title and automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals by winning a playoff over Idaho. Both teams finished with three-round totals of 900 (+36). The Vandals erased a three-shot deficit to force the extra session that saw all five players in each team's lineup play the 18th hole. The top four scores counted to decide the playoff winner.

Northern Arizona's Sofia Anokhina captured medalist honors despite playing the gusty winds that arrived late in the day. Anokhina, who was named the Big Sky Golfer of the Year earlier this week, shot a 75 (+3) to finish at 218 (+2). Idaho's Stephanie Hausman and Clara Moyano tied for second three strokes behind Anokhina with 54-hole totals of 221 (+5).

Hausman and Southern Utah's Kayla Smith were the only golfers to shoot a better score than Janu on Sunday. Hausman posted a 69 (-3) to equal the low round of the championship, while Smith came in with an even-par 72.
