GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Former UND women’s hockey standouts Monique Lamoureux-Morando and Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson will make their seventh appearance at a IIHF Women’s World Championship with the U.S. Women’s National Team, as USA Hockey announced its 23-member roster for the 2017 tournament on Tuesday, which included the two-time Olympians from Grand Forks.

The Lamoureux twins are the second and third UND women’s hockey representatives that will be participating at the 2017 IIHF Women’s World Championship. Senior defenseman Halli Krzyzaniak was earlier named to the Canadian roster, marking her third appearance at the world championship.

Only the United State, Canada and Switzerland have announced their rosters. North Dakota still has potential national team members for Finland, Sweden and Germany to be announced.

The United States looks for a three-peat, having won gold at both the 2016 and 2015 Women’s World Championship. Competition takes place in Plymouth, MIch., and commences March 31, with the medal round beginning April 4.
