GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota hockey team has jumped four spots to No. 4 in both national polls following a non-conference series sweep over St. Lawrence last weekend.

The Fighting Hawks, now 3-0-1 on the young season, climbed from eighth to fourth in both the USCHO and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls after defeating the Saints 2-1 on Friday and 6-1 on Saturday.

Denver remained the top-ranked team in both polls after claiming a win and a tie versus fellow top-10 team Notre Dame.

North Dakota will host Minnesota on Friday and Saturday at Ralph Engelstad Arena. The Golden Gophers were ranked eighth in the USCHO rankings and seventh in the USA Today poll.
