GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota men's tennis team closed out their fifth season in the Big Sky Conference. The team finished with a 6-15 overall record and a 2-9 mark in the Big Sky Conference; improving from last season by two wins in their overall record.

“The men's team had a very solid year with a four match-winning streak midway through the season.” Head Coach Tom Wynne added. “They equaled career best wins in the Big Sky Conference and pushed every team hard in their losses.”

Redshirt Junior Dustin Britton (17-36) and Junior Ty Misialek (17-37) finished the season tied for the program's Division I record in career singles victories; besting Joe Lee and Connor Oberle, who both had 16 career singles wins.

This year also saw Britton set the program's DI record for most career No. 1 singles wins, sitting now with 12. Additionally, his seven No. 1 singles wins on the year was the most No. 1 wins in a single season in the program's D1 history.

With UND having no seniors this season, the Fighting Hawks will return a lot of experience and potential going into the 2018 season.
