Develop hitting, fielding and pitching fundamentals from UND coaches and players.
Three Sessions
Attend one, two or all three breakout sessions that focus on:
- Fielding (9-11 a.m.)
- Pitching and catching (11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.)
- Hitting (2-4 p.m.)
Early Registration Encouraged
Sessions are limited. A max of 50 campers allowed for hitting and fielding sessions. There is a max of 30 pitchers and 30 catchers for the final session.

Lunch will not be provided. However, there is a half hour break between each session.
Parking can be found in the parking garage, which is located just north of Hyslop Sports Center. There will an hourly charge.

Camp Directors
Eric Oakley, Head Coach
Eric Oakley enters his second season at University of North Dakota, after guiding the team to a 18-29 record. The 2012 season saw seven UND softball players receive ALL-GWC Honors, two 1st Team selections and five 2nd Team selections. In his first year at UND the team saw an improvement in winning percentage as well as in most offensive cate-gories, including Batting Average, Doubles, and Runs per Game, while decreasing UND hitters strikeouts by 35%. Before UND he spent five seasons as an assistant coach at EMU, including the last two as the program's top assistant and recruiting coordinator. He helped lead the Eagles to an NCAA Tournament appearance and a Mid-American Con-ference (MAC) tournament championship in 2007. He also served as EMU's interim head coach in 2010. In his last season, his second as the program's pitching coach, Oakley mentored a pitching staff that placed second in the MAC in earned run average (2.78) and boasted five MAC-West Pitchers of the Week. The team's overall ERA fell significantly from 4.57 in 2010 to 3.04 in 2011. After graduating from EMU in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in political science, Oakley's softball coaching career included several successful stints at the high school level from 1999 to 2005. He also served as head coach of the Motor City Madness Elite Travel Softball program in Detroit from 1999 to 2004, guiding more than 25 future collegiate players.
Amanda Montalto, Assistant Coach
Amanda Montalto enters her first season as Assistant Coach at UND. Montalto comes to UND after finishing a stellar career at Ball State University. She was a four-year catcher/designated player for Ball State. Montalto earned All-MAC 1st team honors in 2012, 2011, and 2009. She received All-MAC 2nd team honors in 2010. In 2012 she also earned NFCA All-Great Lakes Regional 2nd Team honors. Montalto was a Six-Time Career MAC West Division Player of the Week at Ball State. Montalto earned a bachelor's degree in General Studies from Ball State in 2012. She is the primary hitting coach for UND, and works with the catchers.
Jessica Richards, Assistant Coach
Jessica joins the UND Coaching Staff after completing a record-breaking career at Eastern Michigan University. Richards, a two-time Mid-American Conference 1st Team All-Conference Selection, finished her career as EMU's all-time run scoring leader with 131 runs scored in her four seasons. Richards, who played multiple positions while at EMU, also swiped 87 stolen bases in her career. Richards earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with a Psychology minor in 2012. She will coach outfield, slappers, and baserunning for UND.
